Those interested in Georgia genealogy can find information such as mother's maiden names, previous address and next of kin. Below you will find information about finding these types of genealogy records in Georgia. Order Birth and Death Records OnlineAddress: Birth and death records State office has records since January 1919. For earlier records write to the Vital Records Office in the county where the event occurred. Additional copies of same record ordered at same time are $5.00 each except birth cards, which are $10.00 each. Money order should be made payable to Vital Records, GA. Personal checks are not accepted. Call (404) 656-4900 to verify current fees. State marriage records Records are available since June 9,
1952. Certified copies of marriage documents up to 1966 are issued
at State office. Inquiries about marriages occurring before June 9,
1952, will be forwarded to appropriate Probate Judge in the county
where the license was issued. There are no state records after July
1, 1997. Contact the Probate Judge in the county where the license was issued. State divorce records State records since 1952. Inquiries
