New
Ashford Land Owners, 1842-1900
The quiet town of New
Ashford lies in the north-western corner of Massachusetts, in
Berkshire County. This database is a listing of persons who owned
land in the town between 1842 and 1900 and is very useful for
Massachusetts genealogy. Also included in this collection is a list
of males eligible to vote and were thus assessed a poll tax, the
amount of which settled at two dollars. An asterisk following the
name indicates the land owner did not live within the town; however,
most lived within the county. Due to missing records, land owners
between 1870-1873 are not recorded.
